A Note for Homes With Pets
We love sharing our homes with dogs—that's why we're here.
Our candles are intended to fragrance your home, not your pet. Burn candles in a well-ventilated space and give your dog plenty of room to move away from the fragrance if they choose.
Every animal is different. If your pet has respiratory concerns, fragrance sensitivities, or other health conditions, consult your veterinarian before using fragranced products in your home.
A little care makes for brighter burns.
Your House of Doodle candle was hand-poured with care. Follow these simple tips to help your candle burn beautifully from first light to last.
The First Burn Matters
On the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface of the candle. This helps encourage an even burn throughout the life of your candle.
Keep Those Wicks Trimmed
Before each burn, trim your wick(s) to approximately ¼ inch. Keeping wicks properly trimmed helps maintain a cleaner, steadier flame and reduces excess soot and mushrooming.
Always allow the candle to cool completely before trimming the wick.
Keep an Eye on the Clock
We recommend burning your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the candle and vessel to cool completely before relighting.
Find the Right Spot
Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, fans, open windows, curtains, and anything flammable.
Keep burning candles safely out of reach of children and pets.
Know When to Say Goodbye
Stop burning your candle when approximately ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel. Continuing to burn a candle with too little wax can cause the container to become excessively hot.
Never Leave a Candle Unattended
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish your candle before leaving the room or going to sleep, and never move or handle the vessel while the wax is hot or melted.
Now for the good part...
Trim the wick. Light the candle. Find your favorite spot.
And don't be surprised if someone with four paws gets there first.
Good dogs. Brighter days.
